DESKONOCIDOS s/t 7"

7" - $5.00

PURCHASE

DESKONOCIDOS
Deskonocidos 7"

Chaotic Tejas punk rock with youthful energy and urgency.  This first Deskonocidos record offers sounds inspired by old school SoCal hardcore, refined in their post-everything hometown scene of Austin, TX (think The Decline of Western Civilization en EspaƱol)...that's side one;  the B-side track ("Desaparecer") is a prelude to the darker material Deskonocidos would unveil on their LP.  "Controlados" is probably the standout track here, an anarchic anthem that will have you singing/screaming/shouting along even if you don't speak Spanish.

VINYL ONLY!

SIDE A:

01.  DONDE LLORAN LOS VALIENTES
02.  CONTROLADOS

FRANTICS / BLACK LEFT PINKY
Cornered

Buried treasure from South Carolina snotcore punks, the Frantics.  Two tunes from an unreleased studio booking in '96 intended for their first album.  Most of the songs from that session were re-recorded a year later for the band's eventual full-length debut, It's Casual, but these gems remained unheard...until now!

A pair of angry and aggressive tracks on the flip side, courtesy of Black Left Pinky.  Influenced by old school hardcore/punk and '90s underground, this central Illinois trio features growled vocals over chug guitars and thunder drums.  Punch a hippy!

Dual cover art and label sketches by Timothy Bradstreet.

LIMITED EDITION OF 800 COPIES ON 10" VINYL LP

Two tons of snot pressed onto a ten inch slab of vinyl is what ya got here, boy-o.  The debut LP by these South Carolina punk rockers was worth the wait.  The band's fastest AND tightest release to date is also their best yet...even better than their excellent early 7" records on Mutant Pop and Wedge Records.

This nine track record is best defined by one of its own song titles:  "Vibrant, Exciting, Diverse!"  Frenzied frequencies on a punk spectrum from fun and catchy to headbangin' and heavy.  Bop your head to the pop of single "Brain Cloud"...get hyper for "Breakfast in a Coffee Cup"... and shout along with "Insubordination!"  A solid bunch of defiant anthems, topped off with some technophobic thrashing at the end.  Perfect soundtrack to your summer at the skate park.

Hey, limey:  THIS IS SNOTCORE!!!

THE MEICES
A HISTORICAL DOCUMENT
AUDIO HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SATANIC LUNAR LANDING MISSION

San Francisco's mighty mighty Meices give up the ghost with glory, but not much fanfare, leaving us with this fabulous farewell on limited white vinyl.  During their stay on planet Earth, The Meices served as fodder for Beavis and Butt-Head, inspiration for Matty Luv in the days of Hickey, and commissionaires for punk, garage and beyond.

A-side is an exclusive studio recording by Gil Norton (who also produced The Meices' final LP and a handful of Pixies records, among other things)...maybe from the same sessions as their last album, so why it was left off in favor of material that wasn't nearly this rad probably has something to do with major labels being stupid.  The swan song is a live version of "Lettuce Is Far Out" (original version appears on their epic Tastes Like Chicken LP) that captures the trio in full spacey, slurry goodness.
