I've seen Ramones, Buzzcocks, The Dickies, Frantics, Zeke, Marked Men - great punk acts known for breath-taking live shows - and it is no exaggeration to say that the Kingons delivered the most high-octane insane energetic performance I've ever seen in my life.  Slotted as the opening band on a tour with The Queers and The Copyrights, Kingons accidentally upstaged them and blew everyone away in the process (no small feat, considering both of those groups are among today's top touring pop punk bands).  While the two tracks on this split record don't live up to the greatest concert experience ever, the first vinyl offering from Kingons is a solid one.  Some well-crafted punk rock 'n' roll with sing-along choruses.

The Maxies pretend like they're from Greenland, but they're really from California.  The Maxies are '90s Ramones-core throwbacks with a polar bear twist.  Two original songs and a reworking of Snoop Doggy Dogg in the style of "Blitzkrieg Bop."  Limited edition white vinyl.  Artwork by Tim Cochran.  Includes lyric sheet and download code.
