Dade County Resistance

...power pop-punk rock by three friends from the Columbia, SC punk/hardcore scene.  All fans of each others' bands, members of Guyana Punch Line, Self and Insult To Injury joined forces in 2001 to form Dade County Resistance.  They instantly clicked, incorporating the speed and energy of punk into hook-laden melodies.

The kids released a self-titled six song CD and contributed three tracks to the Twelve Step Program compilation before gearing up for their first full-length.  Dade County Resistance entered The Jam Room studio with Jay Matheson (who also recorded the Frantics' Downer LP, Suck This by The Queers, plus Antischism, Kylesa and more).  Together, they produced ten tracks...

Issued on tREND iS dEAD! records in 2003, Every Last Chance was chock full of well-crafted, dynamic songs with pop sensibility and sonic edge.  The album received critical acclaim, and the band given opening slots in support of artists like The Ataris, Snapcase, J Church, Hot Water Music, Stretch Armstrong, Lifetime and more.  Just when the group seemed poised to take over the world, Dade County Resistance split...like every good band should.
